Hoy me dirigiré solo a algunas.

LETTER TO WOMEN

February 6, 2014

LetterToWomen

Yes, ladies, as I well suspected it, this extraordinary writing and photography are from the physician and Mexican-Nayarita PAN Deputy Leopoldo Dominguez González, nicknamed Polo. He wrote this letter (in Spanish) on behalf of all us other men. I declare solidarity with it, line by line, and I have translated (free translation) it to English to spread it even more. Thanks VictoriaEugenia Perez.

Dear female friends:

We give a f… how much you weigh. It is fascinating to touch, hug and caress the body of a woman. Weight, does not give us any effect!

We have no idea what a waist is. Our evaluation is visual. I mean, if it is shaped like a guitar it is good. We do not care how tall you are in inches [or centimeters]. It is a matter of proportion, not measurement.

The ideal proportions of a woman’s body are: Curvy, fleshy, feminine … That kind of body that in a single glance one identifies [as belonging to a woman] without doubt and in a split second.

The skinny girls parading on fashion shows, follow the trend as designed. Their fashions are, quite simply, the attacks of body haters because they can not have such bodies.

There is no more irresistible beauty in women that femininity and sweetness. The elegance and good treatment, are equivalent to one thousand Viagras.

Makeup was invented for women to use it. Go, use it. To walk in a straight-washed face, you have us, …it is what we are.

The skirts were invented so you can show off your magnificent legs. What the f… is the purpose of your being logged clogged with baggy pants? To have yourselves confused with us?

A wave is a wave, hips are hips, period.

If nature gave them that curvaceous look is for something and I reiterate: we like that.

To hide these curves, is equivalent to having your best chair packed in the basement.

Let us understand it once and for all: try to be liked by us, not by you yourselves [members of your own gender], because there will never be an objective reference of how cute you all are coming from woman to woman. No woman will never recognize in the in front of a guy that another woman is pretty.

The body changes. Grows. A woman of 40 or 50 years, which does get clothes of when she was 20 or 25 years, either has development problems, or is self-destructing.

We like women who know how to balance their lives and know how to manage their natural tendency to self-blame.

That is, those ones that when they have to eat, eat to win (the diet will come in September, not before); those ones when on the dieting mode, diet wanting (not sabotaging or suffering); the ones that when they want to be intimate partners, do it wanting; the ones that when they buy something they like, they buy it; those ones when they have to save, they save.

Some lines on the face, some stitches in the womb, some stretch marks, do not take away their beauty. They are war wounds, testimony that they have done something with their lives, that they have not spent years in formalin or in a spa. They have lived!

The female body is the proof that God exists. It is the sacred place where we all hatched, where we fed, we rocked, we inadvertently filled it with the stretch marks, and other things that had to happen for us to be alive.

Look after it (your bodies). Look after yourselves. Love yourselves. Beauty is all that, all together.

Signed = We Men

LEAVE MY PREZ ALONE

2013PrezObamaSelfie1 ƒPMofDKHelle-Thorning-Schmidt BbIsT9ZIQAAsXRj 2013PrezObamaSelfieScoldedLeave him alone. He has enough having to deal with four scolding women at his WhiteHome (Mrs. Obama’s faces, yes, say, it all). These were three young people, all of them Heads of Government, our stressed President also Head of State, trying to have a minute of relaxation, as Mr. Madiba knew how to have when, in all occasions, as a real South African, he started to dance and sing, by the way and very rare in that gorgeous country, off tune. By the way, Helle-Thorning-Schmidt, the successful PM of Denmark also has enough of abusive opposition from her own opposition in Parliament, and otherwise. Of the troubles of the PM of the UK we need not to narrate here. Leave them alone…

Hoy me dirigiré solo a algunas.
<Jorge Camilo, Sacerdote y Primo©2013>.

God and Science

September 2, 2012

There is a pervasive confusion here. All of those famous scientists (see below), and more, including Dr. Francis Collins, the present director of the National Institutes of Health, and director of the human genome project, all of them, and without the fame I include myself, are, am, believers in God. So, against what some confused fundamentalists preach, science and God are not incompatible concepts. On the contrary: God is the origin of science, and the scientific mind is a precious gift of God. That is completely different from accepting what some literalists want to sustain: one is not to deny the evolution of knowledge, including biblical knowledge, that by definition evolved: from Old Testament, to New Testament, from polygamy, slavery, revenge and war to peace and love and sitting with sinners and publicans (instead of condemning them), and invading Romans, and Samaritans, and eunuchs and black Ethiopians, and women of the night. Christians evolved from walking on sandals, to driving automobiles, from living only 40 years average, to over 80 years of age, from decaying teeth, to preventive dentistry, etc. All of that with God’s guidance and support. And science… Perhaps one could agree with letting our pastors preach us, and scientists teach us in perfect and Christian harmony and respect. Jesus Christ, who even as a child taught in the Temple, but allowed physicians and writers and fishermen and agriculturalists and women come as part of his team, each one with defined responsibilities in his earthly time and after his departure. http://www.adherents.com/people/100_Nobel.html 50 Nobel Laureates and Other Great Scientists Who Believe in God

Let us stop him/them

June 15, 2011

How idiotic to see this bunch of Republicans basing all and only their actions in attacking our President; to see a flip-flopper like Mitt Romney basing his actions in demolishing the only good thing he did in his life, the signing of the exemplary Massachusetts Health Reform, is appalling.

NOMENCLATURE OF 2008 Influenza A (H1N1)

May 5, 2010

In yesterday’s NPR’s Morning Edition piece, “Amid Food And Car Parts, Swap Meet Offers Flu Shots”, the reporter insists on using the terminology “swine fever” that has only confused the issue up to know. The WHO’s official name is 2008 Influenza A (H1N1)

[http://trendsupdates.com/influenza-a-h1n1-new-and-official-name-of-swine-flu-virus-according-to-the-who]]. the formerly apellatives, Mexican and Swine are not correct: As we know very well by know “Mexican” (it is not so) or “swine” (it is not so, or at least it is not only) are subjective terms that affect peoples and or reactions by people. Do you remember the massive slaughtering of swine in Egypt, a Muslim country where only Christians consume pork? It is when diseases become political diseases which a way to avoid and/or confuse the issues. I refer you to my book, “Larvatus prodeo, The Interview” [http://books.google.com/books?id=mEcW8-kUEesC&printsec=frontcover&dq=Larvatus+prodeo,+The+Interview&source=bl&ots=EImICWnEWo&sig=BmknZXbkfAxGErjUO4NnC_KrOHg&hl=en&ei=XCLgS_ShGIyK8wTM-s23CQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CAgQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q&f=false], now being prepared for its 2010 2nd. edition.

COMMENTING ON NEWSWEEK’s This Won’t Hurt a Bit By Sharon Begley Mar. 5, 2010

March 18, 2010

This is an excellent summary, but summary only, of the horrors of unnecessary medical procedures. The premise that “we have the best medicine in the world” as republicans proclaimed in the Blair House summit, is changed by this article unto “best invasive medicine in the world”, perhaps. One of the most unnecessary and overused procedure with enormous costs and social consequences that was left behind, though, is the enormous number of elective cesarean operations. They may be prestigious to obstetricians who become de facto surgeons and money makers, to themselves and their hospitals. But they increase costs and eliminate unnecessarily a natural procedure, a desirable participation of women in their own destiny, and dampens the acquisition of an extremely valuable skill, which midwives have, amongst physicians and nurses.

The Un-Christian Damning Of Haiti

January 25, 2010

My remarks below derive from my having worked and lived in the Caribbean and several countries in Africa, particularly Angola and Mozambique.  Also my remarks are based on my being a Christian in the tradition of Jesus-Christ with respect for all and for the truth.

Voodoo stereotyping is racist, obsolete and based on untruthful statements and ideas. Thus to damn a country, the first democratic attempt in the whole of the Latin America sub-continent, and the first African American attempt to eliminate slavery, and successful at that and in itself another reason for its damning by some, is unacceptable, not charitable and un-Christian. Most of all is NOT TRUE.
